JESSE JAMES DUPREE Performs At Benefit Concert In Joplin; Video Available

December 23, 2008

Video footage of JACKYL singer Jesse James Dupree's solo performance at a benefit concert, sponsored by KJML FM Rock 107.1, for the Hope 4 You Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation on November 7, 2008 in Joplin, Missouri can be viewed below (clips shot and uploaded by Justin Kuhns). A portion of the album sales and concert ticket sales will go to the foundation, and Chris Stevens, operations manager for KJML, said that Dupree donated merchandise to help with fund-raising efforts.

"I am all about taking care of our ladies out there," Dupree said. "It is an organization near and dear to Chris and the guys at the radio station, and it was something that, in talking to them, we embraced it."

As the outrageous, chainsaw-wielding lead singer for platinum-selling Guinness world record holders JACKYL, Dupree has delivered his second solo album, "Rev It Up", that is both Saturday night and Sunday morning. The first half of "Rev It Up" is the intense, crunchy rock the wildman is known for, while the back half is a retro country radio show — something Dupree was able to pull off with a stellar group of players. The DIXIE INC. band includes members of the Grammy-winning KENTUCKY HEADHUNTERS, BLACKBERRY SMOKE, DOUBLE DRIVE and BROTHER KANE.
